In the last few hours, the Defensor Sporting club confirmed the arrival of Alfonso Barco, who joined the training of his new institution. The former Universitario de Deportes midfielder was received by his new teammates with the traditional “dark alley”.
The midfielder traveled to Montevideo, Uruguay, last Wednesday, August 16, to close his relationship with Defensor Sporting. The 21-year-old soccer player signed the respective documents to join the training sessions, where he developed iconic jobs in the Pichincha Sports Complex gym.

His debut could be this Saturday, August 19, against Fénix for the Closing Tournament of the Uruguayan League. This would be his first experience in international soccer after his debut at Universidad San Martín in the 2019 season (that year he was loaned to Universidad César Vallejo).
Alfonso Barco joins the Uruguayan team on loan after belonging to Universitario since the 2022 season, when he arrived after passing through San Martín and César Vallejo.
