Carlos Felipa won the silver medal in shot put at the Warrior Athletes Open

With the strength of a Peruvian of a total fighter, Carlos Felipa returned from the Mexican Para Athletics Open, known as the Warrior Athletes Open, with the silver medal in shot put in the T63 class. The national para athlete continues adding successes for the national sport.

Carlos Felipa launched the bullet at a distance of 10 meters and 57 centimeters, which was only 10 centimeters short of his personal record and at the same time it is the American record in the T63 class, that is, for athletes with limited-moderate movement of a leg or absence of legs above the knee.

The para-athlete Carlos Felipa is one of the great representatives of the country as a para-athlete and member of the Armed Forces. Last July he was part of the Fiestas Patrias parade.

“Finding the time to do what you are passionate about will always be there, early morning, afternoon or night is conducive to training when we have a goal set. I am happy with the result and many have witnessed the effort I put into my preparation”, Felipa assured after the test in Mexico.

The competitions do not stop for Carlos Felipa. The national will travel this Wednesday to Chile for the weekend to play the Chilean Para Athletics Open, where he will seek to improve his marks.

With the 10.57 meters that he already has, he has achieved the minimum mark to be part of the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games next November, but he is still awaiting official confirmation from the National Paralympic Association of Peru (ANPP) for his classification.

For this reason, we must always work with perseverance and be consistent with the objective we want to achieve.”, referred Carlos, who added, “To meet my goals on and off the track, it is important to train, hydrate and eat properly; and in that sense, Herbalife products are the ideal complement to my nutrition”, sentenced the para-athlete.
