Peruvian national team: look at the surprises of the call for the duels against Paraguay and Brazil

The start of a new qualifying process for the 2026 World Cup is getting closer. This Tuesday, September 7, the peruvian team will debut against Paraguay in Asunción and then we will receive Brazil in Lima, on the 12th of the same month. For this reason, the technician Juan Reynoso confirmed who will be summoned to face these first duels. Among those named we find some surprises.

Carlos Ascues will return to work in La Videna under the command of ‘Cabezón, the 31-year-old defender is currently a member of the César Vallejo University. Christian Cueva is one of the regulars in the ‘blanquirroja’, however, some took his non-call for granted because he does not have the expected continuity in Alianza Lima.

Diego Romero, Emilio Saba, Marco Huamán, Matías Laz, Rafael Lutiger, Alonso Yovera, Sebastián Cavero, Adrián Ascues, Gonzalo Aguirre, Kenji Cabrera, Jostin Alarcón, Piero Quispe, Joao Grimaldo and Fabrizio Roca
