Barros Schelotto responds to Reynoso for changing the stadium at the start of the Qualifiers

As is known, Paraguay used the Defensores del Chaco stadium, in Asunción, for international and friendly tournamentsfor which the change of venue to Ciudad del Este drew attention.

“I don’t agree with that, in fact, I read the note and I want to say two things about what Juan Reynoso said. We have the freedom and autonomy to choose where to play and we do so. And don’t worry, it’s going to be a football party, we’re going to receive you as brothers, it’s going to be a football game in which the best team will win. We are going to receive it like no one expects to receive the people of Peru, like never before, so they can stay calm”, expressed the coach of the Paraguayan team.

“The playing field in Ciudad del Este is in very good condition, everything is prepared so that it is in good shape. The Antonio Aranda stadium is very good. Everything is ready for the debut”, he added.

The Paraguayan Football Association (APF) announced on Friday the list of summoned members who are active in foreign clubs for the first two games of the South American Qualifiers. The final list, which will include the players who stand out in the local tournament, will be delivered next week.

The Paraguayan team will receive the Peruvian team on September 7 in Ciudad del Este, and will visit Venezuela on the 12th in Maturín.
