PSG women: Paulina Dudek again suffered a cruciate ligament rupture

This is already a huge blow for PSG and for the morale of Paulina Dudek. The 26-year-old Polish defender, who plays in the women’s section and captains, will remain out of action for several months. In mid-summer, she once again suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee. The same injury as in September 2022… A huge loss for Gerard Precher’s team, which was counting on his return to strengthen the defense during the recovery process.

Polina Dudek will undergo surgery in the coming days. And even if this injury keeps him out until the spring, at least PSG are counting on the Polish international for the future. For several weeks, both parties have been discussing a contract extension as the lease between them ends in June next year. French champion with the capital club in 2021, Dudek and PSG are still working towards a positive result.

At least one offensive recruit expected

For defence, PSG are counting on their newest recruit: France international Aissatou Tounkara, who will take part in the World Cup with the Blues in Australia. As announced in our columns in mid-June, this track, tested on all levels, was completed this summer. The arrival of the center, who was overtaken by Atlético Madrid and Manchester United, was officially announced this Monday. Newcomer Paris, even though Tunkara’s physical condition (she hasn’t played for almost a year) remains questionable.

She should be a link to another new signing, big hope Tiniba Samura, who signed his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain this week from Paris Saint-Germain. Gerard Precher’s team is also counting on the contribution of Jade Le Guilly, who was loaned to Real Sociedad last year, to contribute to this position. This Friday will also mark the return of Elisa de Almeida, the head of this team, for a holiday after the World Cup in Australia.

In addition, PSG continues to be active in the transfer window, having already registered five new recruits: Katarzyna Kedrzynek (goalkeeper), Viola Calligaris, Nicole Payne (right back), Tiniba Samura (centre back) and Ana Vitoria (midfielder). Even if Marie Antoinette Katoto’s return to attack after a year on the wing is good, we must replace Kadidiata Diani, whose contract ended on June 30 and who will join OL. It is expected that at least one new player will emerge in attack before the end of the transfer window.
