The reactions continue due to the appointment of Edwin Ordóñez, as main referee of the second final of the League 1 Betsson between Alianza Lima and Universitario, and this time the president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) did it, Agustin Lozano.
He took the opportunity to put cold clothes on controversial statements from different actors in this final, due to a photograph in which Ordóñez poses with an Alianza Lima t-shirt.
“He is a prospect, a young man who has done well this year. We must stop saying that he is a fan of that team because in the end all of us who like football are fans of some club,” he said in statements to L1 Radio.
He stressed that he is a professional, and that if they requested a foreign shortlist for this definition, he would not accept it out of respect for the national referees.
“As president I can give the message of calm because our referees are prepared,” he added.
