The sports manager of Alianza Lima, Jose Bellinaspoke about the controversy generated by the appointment of Edwin Ordóñez as main judge of the second final of the League 1 Betsson.

“We are calm with the appointment of Edwin Ordoñez. All referees are fans of a team. That does not mean that they are professionals,” he said in reference to the viral image of the aforementioned referee in a blue and white shirt.

Along the same lines, he called for attention to the authorities in charge of arbitration in the country because, as is known, referees like Kevin Ortega are traveling at this time to direct matches in other countries.

“If we know that the national championship is decided on this date, why do we have so little supply of referees,” he said in statements to RPP.

The blue and white leader also assured that the permanence of Uruguayan strategist Mauricio Larriera in 2024 is confirmed.

“Mauricio Larriera will continue in 2024. We see the issue of player renewal at the end of the tournament. Finishing, we will sit down with Christian Cueva,” he said.
