The idol of Sports University, Jose ‘Puma’ Carranzaarrived at the Alejandro Villanueva de Matute stadium to accompany the Universitario team in this second final of the League 1 Betsson before Alianza Lima.
The former cream player stepped onto the pitch and when approached by a journalist made reference to the matches he had to play at the Victorian venue.
“We’ve already had fun here. And that is the most important thing,” she commented as she walked across the playing field.
“You have to play football well and without help from anything,” added the cream reference.
As we remember, the first final, played at the Monumental stadium, was tied 1-1.
For this definition of the championship, it was determined that both matches be played only with local fans.
