Caracas denounced minutes before that the Peruvian authorities have prevented the plane in which Vinotinto will travel from Lima from refueling.so he asked the Government of Dina Boluarte “the immediate cessation of attacks against” the Venezuelan soccer team.
For its part, The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) published another statement in which it joins the condemnation for the “physical and verbal” attacks. and for the “acts of discrimination and xenophobia” suffered by the team and the fans that supported them.
“It is very serious that one of our players was injured by an official, when approaching our fans to give them a shirt, an act that is absolutely normal (…) and that should not attract a police sanction like the one that has occurred. our player suffered,” noted the FVF.
