“My intention is to destroy the person in front of me.” After hidden cameras with millions of views, Ninja Warrior obstacle courses and bare-handed fights, Chechen YouTuber IbraTv will fight at Zenit Paris on June 2, 2024 in the cage of the Hexagone MMA league. His goal: to show the public that content creators “are not all clowns” and can compete with seasoned professionals.
“If we are here, it’s because we have our own place and we’re having fun,” explains the Grozny native. IbraTV, known for organizing MMA fights in France before its legalization in 2020, despite being an ambassador for the sport itself. “Through my videos, I made people who didn’t know anything about it want to take up boxing or MMA,” he says.
IbraTv is set for two fights on the French MMA scene, but fans are especially looking forward to his fight against Gregory Bouchelagem, aka Greg MMA, another French social media star. “Whether it’s Greg or someone else, I prepare as if I’m going to face a champion,” says Ibra. “Once in a cage, we become animals (…) and I see in front of me someone who needs to be killed.”
