Garcés, 27 years old, comes from playing for César Vallejo and becomes the initial reinforcement for the team now led by Colombian Alejandro Restrepo. The 41-year-old coach replaces the Uruguayan Mauricio Larriera, who lost the final of League 1 2023 against Universitario de Deportes.
Restrepo arrived at Alianza Lima after directing the Colombian teams Atlético Nacional (2019-2021) and Deportivo Pereira (2022-2023).
