More problems for Boca: casualties after the classic lost to River Plate

Boca Juniors suffered a painful fall before River Plate which takes it quite far from the first places in the Argentine Professional League but this is not the only thing that coach ‘Xeneize’ Sebastián Battaglia must deal with. His team will have three casualties for the next game of the Argentine Professional League.

Who will be the absences against Lanús?

The first of them is Marcos Rojo, who will not be due to the expulsion suffered against River Plate in the Superclásico, a red card that changed all of Boca’s plans against the eternal rival and that was key for the ‘Millionaire’ to overcome him widely in the process of the match.

The other two casualties are the players of the Peruvian national team, Luis Advíncula and Carlos Zambrano, who have been called up for the triple date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers and are usually starters in Ricardo Gareca’s eleven.

If they play the qualifying matches against Chile, Bolivia and Argentina, they will probably not only miss the duel against Lanús on Saturday, October 9, but also the visit against Huracán on October 16, due to the fact that the last match of the selection is Thursday 14.

Boca Juniors is in the ninth position of Argentine football with 21 points, remaining nine behind the leader River Plate that fights the top with Talleres de Córdoba, which has 29 units and will play this Monday 04 against Defense and Justice as a visitor.
