Oliver Sonne made it clear that he awaits his debut with the Peruvian team and does not plan to give up the Bicolor. After not finding an opportunity in the Qualifiers under Juan Reynoso, the defender is aiming for the friendlies in March at the beginning of the Fossati era and has reaffirmed his commitment to the ‘everyone’s team’ in a recent interview for Danish television.
“Now I’m playing with Peru and that’s where I’m focused“, he declared for Go’ morgen Danmark & Go’, completely ruling out the possibility of playing for Denmark.
“They haven’t seen me play yet and still there is a lot of love. My classmates also think it’s crazy.“He added about the support of the national and internal fans of the team.
WHEN DOES SONNE DEBUT?
Oliver Sonne’s possible debut with the Peruvian national team could finally occur in March 2024, when the Bicolor takes on the first friendlies under the technical direction of Jorge Fossati. The Silkeborg IF winger would be considered by the Uruguayan strategist.
