Jack Grealish’s hard moment after robbery at his mansion: “I’m devastated”

Jack Grealish, a victim of robbery while playing for Manchester City, described the assault on his home on New Year’s Eve as a truly “traumatic” experience. This is how the English attacker spoke via social networks after what happened. “I hope no other family has to go through the same thing,” he said, still affected.

“I have no words to explain how devastated I am about the robbery that took place at my home a few days ago. My family is the most important thing to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety. “It has been a traumatic experience for everyone, but I am very grateful that no one was hurt,” he began by saying.

“I have had many incredible experiences and achievements in the last 12 months, but to be honest, the best year of my life in football is not something I can celebrate. The people who commit these terrible crimes have no idea of the damage they cause to people’s lives. I hope they are found and brought to justice so that no other family has to go through the same thing as us,” he added.

“I appreciate the messages from everyone and the support from my friends, teammates and the club. On a more positive note, I would like to thank everyone for their support throughout this last year, I wish you and your families a happy 2024,” said Grealish.

Grealish’s home was attacked on Wednesday during City’s Premier League match against Everton. The thieves entered the property, where a dozen of the player’s relatives, including his parents and his fiancee, were watching the game on television.

The criminals took loot consisting of jewelry and watches valued at 1 million pounds (1.15 million euros), he adds. Jack Grealish, 28, was informed of what happened after the match won 3-1.
