Rafa Benítez after Renato Tapia’s MVP in Celta vs. Betis: “I am very happy with him”

Celta de Vigo beat Real Betis 2-1 on matchday 19 of LaLiga EA Sports, and with these three points they managed to get out of the relegation zone. Renato Tapia returned to the starting eleven and did not disappoint: he became a figure of the match and played the 90 minutes.

Benítez revolutionized his eleven in search of a necessary victory like eating. While waiting for the Brazilian Jailson Marques, whom he signed after ending his contract with Palmeiras, to get fit, the coach placed Fran Beltrán alongside Renato Tapia to give more muscle to the midfield.

Given the rumors of a possible interest from Atlético de Madrid in the Peruvian, the Spanish coach was asked how he felt about Tapia in his scheme. “At the previous press conference I already said that I am very happy with him. I can tell you that we are all very happy with him,” said Benítez.

According to Sofascore, Renato Tapia obtained a score of 7.8 (only below Iago Aspas with 7.9) with eleven duels won, three dribbles and four tackles.
