Sebastián Rodríguez on his arrival at Alianza Lima: “I am very happy for the opportunity”

Uruguayan midfielder Sebastián Rodríguez, who last season defended the Peñarol shirt, indicated that he is “very happy” for the opportunity he has to reach Lima Alliancecurrent Peruvian runner-up, to compete in the Libertadores Cup and the League 1 Betsson.

In dialogue with the 100% Deporte program, the player highlighted the option he has of playing the continental tournament with the blue and white team.

“Very happy for the opportunity to join Alianza. A big team that is going to play Libertadores. The departure from Peñarol, happy with my passage. The final objective was not met, but on an individual level I always had the commitment,” Rodríguez indicated.

“Alliance’s offer is important. The managers wanted him to continue. “Agreed with the coach (Diego Aguirre) and seeing the plans he had, this step is the best for me,” added the 31-year-old footballer.

If there are no problems, Rodríguez will become the tenth Alliance reinforcement for the 2024 season.

Weeks ago, Jiovany Ramos, Juan Pablo Freytes, Renzo Garcés, Adrián Arregui, Jhamir D’Arrigo, Catriel Cabellos, Kevin Serna, Marco Huamán and Cecilio Waterman were announced.
