Christofer ‘Canchita’ Gonzales will be the new reinforcement of University of Sports in the year of his centenary and his representative, José Chacón, offered some details of how this decision was reached to return to Peruvian soccer to what was his first professional team.
“It was Christofer’s decision, because we also had the option of going to other countries, but he preferred to go to Peru,” he said in statements to the YouTube program Mauricio y Michael.
“It is a personal decision for him, he decided which club to play for. He began his sports career at the University, he is returning to his first home,” he added.
On the other hand, he said that ‘Canchita’ will set foot on Peruvian soil this Thursday and that the conditions of the contract will be kept confidential, but “he is going to sign for the ‘U’, that happens as soon as he arrives.”
The midfielder and national team would be formally presented at the so-called ‘Cream Night’ this weekend.
