University statement after Alianza Lima restrictions: “These decisions violate the regulations”

Just a few hours before the Peruvian classic was played for the third date of League 1 Te Apuesta, Alianza Lima announced that it would only allow the sports delegation of Universitario de Deportes to enter the National Stadium. In this way, no manager or former ‘merengue’ player will be able to make an appearance at the Coloso José Díaz.

The statement had many repercussions, to such an extent that the ‘cream’ club was against the decisions made by the rival. In addition, he urged the Peruvian Football Federation to take action on the matter.

“We see the need to express our resounding rejection of these arbitrary and unjustified decisions, which violate the League 1 Regulations, and directly harm the delegation of our institution,” reads the Universitario statement.

“We urge the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) and League 1, entities that hold the authority in unrestricted compliance with the regulations, to take immediate actions under the principle of equality that must govern in sport. Passivity in the face of a unilateral decision generates suspicions and a bad precedent in the face of non-compliance with articles 78, 79 and 81,” they indicated.
