Juan Pablo Goicochea, former Alianza Lima, was presented as a new Platense player

After his good participation in the U-23 Olympic Qualifiers held in Venezuela, the young Peruvian striker Juan Pablo Goicochea, 19, became a new player for Club Atlético Platense, in the first division of Argentine soccer.

According to the club itself on its website, the popular ‘Goico’ arrives at ‘Calamar’ free after his time at Lima Alliancecurrent Peruvian runner-up.

The Argentine team took 50% of his token and signed him a contract until December 2026, with the possibility of extending it for two more years.

Juan Pablo Goicochea del Carpio was born on January 12, 2005 in Lima, Peru. He is a 19-year-old, 1.85 meter tall striker who arrives in Platense to have his first experience in Argentine soccer.

The attacker was trained in the youth teams of Esther Grande de Bentín, which was the birthplace of some footballers who today make up the Peruvian team such as Luis Advíncula and André Carrillo.

He has also represented the Peruvian team in different competitions. At 17 years old, the forward was called to be part of the Peruvian U-20 team, competing in the 2022 Odesur Games and the 2023 South American Games.
