Bruno Marionisports director of Alianza Lima, offered a press conference in which, among other topics, he referred to the incorporation of Carlos Zambrano to the 2024 squad.

‘El León’, despite having a current contract with the blue and white team, was not taken into account at the beginning of the season, but injuries motivated a rapprochement between the parties.

“Zambrano contacted me to talk, to which I agreed. We met a few days ago, he expressed his desire to join given the situation we were going through,” Marioni said at a press conference.

“This talk was important because Carlos expressed his desire to be on the squad. I told him how the club was today, the way we are working, the discipline, the commitment of the squad. Today Alianza has a path, a direction and it will not deviate,” he added.

Along these lines, the intimate manager stressed that there is an understanding with the national team and that there is a commitment to work for the club’s objectives.

“Of course, this is something that I had to discuss with Alejandro Restrepo’s technical team, and based on those conversations we decided to reincorporate him into the first team on Monday,” he noted.

Alianza Lima will face ADT in Tarma this Friday on date 6, and then it will be home against Sporting Cristal, one of the leaders of the tournament.
