Pan American Games: Dina Boluarte received members of Panam Sports and the Peruvian Olympic Committee

The president of Peru Dina Boluarte received, at the Government Palace, the members of Panam Sports and the Peruvian Olympic Committee, as part of its commitment to promote the city of Lima to host the next Pan American Games 2027.

As recalled, on January 18, the head of state confirmed that she sent a communication to the Pan American Sports Organization to offer her management’s support for the application of the city of Lima.

Thus, at the beginning of February, Panam Sports confirmed that the cities of Lima and Asunción are the official candidates to organize this sporting event.

The election will be held on March 12, virtually, at the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Executive Committee of Panam Sports.

During the March assembly, both Asunción and Lima must make a 40-minute presentation, and then proceed to the voting of the member countries and, in this way, choose the city that will host the 2027 Pan American Games.
