A few days after making Lima official as the venue for the next Panamerican Games and Parapan American Games of 2027, the authorities of the Central Government, led by the president Dina Boluarteinspected the venues that will host the Pan American Games in these competitions.
It was a visit to the different sports venues located in the National Sports Village (Videna), and she was accompanied by the Executive Director of the special Legacy project, Carlos Zegarra Presser, and the president of the Peruvian Olympic Committee, Renzo Manyari.
“I want to thank you for having once again given us this enormous responsibility and great opportunity, we received it with great enthusiasm and as the perfect opportunity to demonstrate once again that united Peruvians are capable of taking on great challenges,” declared Boluarte Zegarra last Tuesday.
Our capital obtained 28 votes and surpassed Asunción, the other candidate to host the most important multidisciplinary tournament in the region.
Peru’s experience, after receiving the same responsibility in 2019, was key to the election.
