This Monday, March 18, 2024, the draw for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores 2024 took place. There are 32 teams that will fight, inch by inch, to bring the continent’s top trophy to their showcases. Next, we share with you which teams will make up each group.
In Peruvian soccer, only two teams will represent the country in this competition: Universitario de Deportes and Alianza Lima. Sporting Cristal and Melgar were eliminated in the preliminary phases.
Likewise, the great absentee of this edition is Boca Juniors, current runner-up. The historic Argentine could not qualify for the CONMEBOL Libertadores as he did not remain regular in his country’s tournament. Other clubs that will miss the event are: Olimpia, Inter de Porto Alegre, Racing, América de Cali.
