Vélez Sarsfield suspended the contract of the four footballers who were accused of sexual abuse allegedly committed on March 3 in San Miguel de Tucumán (northwest) and who were “deprived of their liberty” this Monday, the Argentine club announced.
In a statement released on its social networks, the Liniers neighborhood entity, which had already preventively separated them from the rest of the squad, reported that it “resolved the suspension of the employment contract” of Sebastián Sosa, José Florentin, Braian Cufré and Abiel Osorio, and ordered “the beginning of an internal summary so that, as soon as possible, the definitive measures to be taken with respect to the four players are determined.”
A 24-year-old woman reported on March 7 that four Vélez Sarsfield soccer players had abused her several days before in a hotel in the capital of the province of Tucumán – where the team had played against the local Atlético -, which He had gone to an appointment only with Sosa.
