Gianluca Lapadula was one of the last called up to join the Peruvian team and is concentrating on work prior to the FIFA friendlies, under the command of Jorge Fossati.
The Cagliari striker from Serie A shared his feelings of stepping on Peruvian soil again and feeling the love of the fans.
“I am very happy to be here, every time I come to Peru it is always a pleasure and an honor for me, I really want to play,” said Lapadula.
“As always, they received me very well, I am very happy to be here. We now have two important matches before the Cup. I feel at home as always, I feel like one of the family,” he added.
On the other hand, he highlighted the importance that people will have in these preparation matches. “The fans are very important to us, we look forward to seeing them on Friday and Tuesday.”
Peru will face Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic on March 22 and 26, respectively.
It should be noted that both duels will be played on national territory. The first in the Alejandro Villanueva de Matute state, while the second will be played at the Monumental.
