The National Anthem of Peru was sung loudly and at the top of our lungs at the Matute stadium, in the ceremony prior to the start of the friendly match of the peruvian team against Nicaragua, valid for the FIFA date in March.
Players, fans and the coach of the national team, the Uruguayan Jorge Fossatishowed their respect at the moment the sacred notes of the local anthem were played.
Minutes before and as a sign of courtesy, the Nicaraguan anthem was heard first, which was respected by its team members and by the public present in the La Victoria colossus.
As soon as the friendly match began, two minutes in, attacker Joao Grimaldo scored Peru’s first goal after receiving a good pass from Andy Polo.
Peru’s next friendly will be on March 26 against the Dominican Republic at the Monumental stadium of Universitario de Deportes.
