Jorge Fossati debuted in the technical leadership of the peruvian team on the last FIFA date against Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic and gave statements to the press about his balance of these two matches.
“Beyond the result, we played a good game and details were polished that had not gone so well in the first match,” said the Uruguayan strategist.
“After facing Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, I must mention that we faced two teams with dynamics, with good physique, fast, they have good technique and it seems to me that Peru wins deservedly,” said the national coach.
Peru beat Nicaragua 2-0 in Matute with scores from Joao Grimaldo and Gianluca Lapadula. Meanwhile, last Tuesday they beat the Dominican Republic team 4-1 with goals from Sergio Peña, Jesús Castillo, Piero Quispe and Paolo Guerrero.
The red and white team will play two more friendlies before making its debut in the Copa América in the United States.
