“It is not to be feared, but obviously Peru has its own thing,” the response of the president of the Bolivian Federation about the possible friendly

-Here in Peru it is said that in June we will play a friendly against Bolivia, is this information true?

Let’s see, we are in negotiations. We have made the proposal through the President of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), Agustín Lozano, to have a friendly match. Anyway, we are in negotiations, since so far there is nothing official.

-Peru has already debuted under the command of Jorge Fossati, what do you think of this new Peru? Is it to be feared now?

(Laughs) It’s not to be feared, but obviously it has its own thing. Peru has always given us a fight and we know that it has talented players, so we live up to expectations.

-Is your proposal for them to play in Lima or the United States and how did the interest in playing a friendly with Peru come about?

We had an agreement with the FPF for a round-trip match. We did one in Arequipa and we are waiting for the return of the kindness. We understand that due to logistics issues, before the Copa América, we will probably have to carry it out in Peru. The important thing for us is to have the game and give everything to our team.

-When is the deadline for the FPF’s response to decide the friendly against Peru?

Until the weekend we have everything defined.

-Does Bolivia plan to play other friendlies, in addition to wanting to play against Peru?

Bolivia has closed on May 31 with Mexico in Chicago, June 15 closed with Colombia and so we are looking at having a match against Peru in the middle.

-Will they play with Colombia in Colombia or in Bolivia?

Let’s play in the United States

-But if Peru tells you to play the friendly in the United States, it will be better for you…

Of course yes, even better.
