The Great National Cause of 2024 is still not yielding results. At the end of 2023, the government made physical and sporting activity a priority. The idea: take advantage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games “to encourage the French to lead a less sedentary lifestyle.” It was in this context that Operation Move 30 Minutes a Day was launched.
However, three months later, according to the 30-minute barometer produced by OpinionWay for the CIC, 47% of French people still say they do less than 30 minutes of physical activity a day. The figure is down compared to the previous month (-3%), but still high. We take stock and aim for the future with Michel Syme, France’s most famous doctor and health ambassador for the 2024 Olympic Games.
