A duo of Marseille rappers was present. The soprano and Alonso will perform a free concert on May 8 in Marseille to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic flame, and fifteen other artists are scheduled to perform in five other cities hosting the Olympic or Paralympic torch relay.
Some 45,000 people will be able to attend the tour’s opening for free in Soprano and Alonso’s hometown of Marseille, whose performance will take place on a floating stage in the Old Port; relay sponsor Coca-Cola announced Wednesday the flames.
Luhipeka and Chilla in Rennes
Among the artists on the program, rapper Luhipeka and rapper Chilla are expected, like the Olympic flame, on June 1 in Rennes, in the Le Liberté hall. Singers Santa and Bianca Costa will perform in Saint-Etienne on June 21, the day of the Music Festival, at the Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium.
The remaining scheduled concerts will take place on July 15 in Paris, at the Place de la République, on July 25 in La Courneuve (Georges Valbonne Park), at other stages of the Olympic flame and on August 27 in Bobigny, where the Paralympic flame will end its journey. . . The Soprano and Alonso concert will take place without prior registration. For others, you’ll have to secure free tickets through an application from the US soda giant, a partner of the Olympic torch relay since the 1992 Barcelona games and the Paralympic torch relay since Lillehammer in Norway in 1994.
