Ricardo Gareca spoke with DirecTV Sports and referred to the consideration of the players that he will call to the Chile team just over two months after starting the America Cup.
“If the player is active and wants to continue playing, he has to do it. Many players are very competitive and there are many young people who want to succeed, they can coexist perfectly,” said ‘El Tigre’.
“We are going to go to the Copa América with our best players. We need to find the team functioning quickly.”
Under the technical direction of Gareca, ‘La Roja’ faced two friendlies on FIFA date with a 3-0 win against Albania and a 3-2 defeat against France.
The Copa América 2024 will be played from Thursday, June 20 to Sunday, July 14.
