South American Women’s Sub 20: see how the tables are going and who qualified for the final hexagonal

The South American Women’s U-20 Soccer Championship enters its final hexagonal, a decisive stage in which six teams will fight to stay with one of the five available places for the World Cup of the category, since Colombia managed to get into the last instance of the contest and will give away one more place for Conmebol. The teams of Paraguay, Peru and Argentina took the three places in Group A to compete in the final hexagonal of the South American Women’s Under-20 Championship and now they await their three opponents from Group BA with no date left to play in Group A , everything is already defined and the only incentive for the last day will be knowing in what order the three qualifiers pass and if Uruguay will manage to score before saying goodbye to the competition.

The Paraguayan team was the first to secure its place in the final phase on the previous date, after achieving a total of victories in the first three days. Paraguay was followed this Wednesday by Peru, which beat Uruguay 1-2 with goals from Valerie Gherson and Birka Ruiz, so they reached 7 points, the result of two wins and a draw. Although the Ecuadorian team achieved its first point in the tournament, it was insufficient, as was the case for Uruguay, which added its third consecutive defeat. On the last date of Group A, to be played on Saturday, Argentina will face Paraguay and Ecuador They will face Uruguay, while Peru will have their rest day.

The tournament will continue this Friday with the fourth date of Group B, in which Colombia will face Bolivia and Venezuela will do the same with Brazil. Chile will be the team that rests.

The South American Women’s Under-20 Championship is held at the Alberto Spencer stadium, in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, and will distribute four tickets to the FIFA World Cup of the category, to be held this year in Colombia.
