The Ironman 70.3 Lima 2024 had a spectacular close on the Costa Verde of Chorrillos with the head-to-head between the Brazilian Reinaldo Colucci and the Argentine Luciano Taccone to define the Pro men’s category, which went to the first by only a difference of six seconds.

The podium was completely South American in the men’s division, since Colucci and Taccone were joined in the award ceremony by the Uruguayan Federico Scarabino, who arrived just one minute after the winner.

“It was a very competitive competition, with a large number of athletes. In the last kilometers I can accelerate and gain distance from Luciano to take the victory,” said Reinaldo, who highlighted the good weather and energy of the public that accompanied the athletes, “there was a very good Peruvian bar, that good energy undoubtedly encouraged us to be strong until the end, thank you all for an excellent organization.”

Meanwhile, in the women’s category the winner was the Mexican Cecilia Pérez, followed by the Chilean Sofía Balmaceda and the Argentine Romina Palacio. The women’s Pro podium only spoke Spanish.
