Yoshimar Yotun is one of the references of the peruvian team and he spoke out after it became known that Christian Cueva He attends Videna as part of his recovery, after suffering a knee injury in 2023.
The captain of Sporting Cristal highlighted how important Cueva has been in the red and white team and hopes that he will return to the playing fields soon.
“Christian is my brother and obviously I am happy that he is returning to training,” Yotún said in statements to the press.
“You can’t deny everything he has done in football. He is an excellent footballer. “He is an important player for the national team and we want him to be well,” he added.
The Peruvian team will have two friendlies before playing the Copa América, the same ones that will be against the teams of Paraguay and El Salvador.
Christian Cueva is currently without a team and finding a club will be the first step to recover his level and, if applicable, be considered in the red and white team.
