Manchester City star Erling Haaland arrives in the video game “Clash of Clans”

Erling Haaland, Manchester City star, will have one more title in his prolific football career by becoming the ‘King of the Barbarians’ of the popular mobile video game “Clash of Clans”. Thus, an animated version of the Norwegian striker has been included in the strategy video game developed by Supercell.

Released in 2012, “Clash of Clans” is a mobile strategy video game where the player builds their own village and challenges other players’ villages in a battle for resources.

From May 1 to May 31, Haaland will be available as part of “an epic football-themed seasonal event” that will give participants “special troops and event medals.”

Players will also have the option to challenge Haaland’s village in the game, of which the 23-year-old says he has been a fan for more than a decade.

“It’s been hard to keep this a secret, but I’m excited to finally talk about this epic collaboration with Clash of Clans. “I have been a big fan of the game for a long time and know everything about it, so appearing as a character in the game is really great,” the footballer said in a press release.

The announcement was made by publishing a video that mixes real montage with computer graphics, where Haaland is transported to the comically violent world of “Clash of Clans.”

This is not the first time that Haaland takes a crucial role in a video game and the athlete was the face of the title “EA FC 24”, formerly known as FIFA.
