Rumors about Zinedine Zidane have been circulating for several days. The Blues’ 1998 World Cup hero was expected to become the third and final torchbearer on French soil this Wednesday, after arriving in Marseille’s Old Port of Belem to carry the Olympic flame from Greece for 12 days.
But the tension was full when Florent Manaudou, the first torchbearer on French soil, passed the torch to Nantenin Keita, a Paralympic athlete, before the torch was picked up by a third, mysterious torchbearer.
