The coach of Universitario de Deportes, Fabián Bustos, regretted the creamy defeat at the Monumental Stadium against Botafogo that left him eliminated from the Copa Libertadores.
In dialogue with the press, he highlighted the game played by his team, but also acknowledged that they failed to generate dangerous chances in the rival field.
“We played a very good game, with an unfair result for us without taking away from the rival. We lacked more clear situations,” said the Argentine strategist.
“The team did not deserve to lose it, we had a clearance in an isolated play. “I feel represented by the delivery,” he added.
Now Universitario de Deportes must travel to Cusco to face Cienciano and maintain first place in the Liga 1 Apertura Tournament.
