Ángel Di María referred to how difficult it will be for Argentina to play against Peru

One day after the Peru vs. Argentina for the South American Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022, Ángel Di María referred, in statements to the Argentine team, to how difficult it will be to face the Peruvian team, the present of the ‘Albiceleste’, as well as the presence of the public in the Monumental stadium.

“It’s going to be a screwed-up game, Peru needs the points and we have to continue with the goal of adding three, winning the game to get to Qatar as soon as possible, to qualify for the World Cup. It will be a very difficult game, they have very good players up front, but we have to do our job ”, Di María declared about the ‘Blanquirroja’.

Likewise, the ‘Fideo’ expressed his feelings about playing with the ‘Albiceleste’: “It is a pride to be here and after everything we have been through in recent months it is something very nice. There is a spectacular atmosphere, we are not changing many players and that makes the group stronger, that we know each other more and more because we have been with the Copa América and the Qualifiers for a long time, we breathe happiness ”.

Regarding what it means to be in the 2022 World Cup, the player who scored the winning goal against Brazil in the 2021 Copa América final pointed out that “The classification is the most important thing to then work calmly, coming from winning the Copa América and adding three with good games makes the group better and firmer and being able to seal the classification will give that extra bonus.”

“In Europe we had relived it a while before, but in Argentina, with the National Team, it was not the same, much less having won the Copa América. That was a plus. We knew that people were going to come with that joy, with that emotion of being able to sing ‘give him champion’ and all those things that made us live during these games that we were playing ”, the 33-year-old footballer highlighted.
