Barcelona confirms Pedri’s renewal with an unpayable exit clause

Pedro González, better known in the world of football as ‘Pedri’, has renewed a contract with Barcelona for four seasons with a record termination clause amounting to one billion euros, the Barça club reported this Thursday through a note published in the official website.

“FC Barcelona and the player Pedro González ‘Pedri’ have reached an agreement to renew their contract until June 30, 2026. The termination clause is set at 1,000 million eurossays the note spread by the Catalans through all the official channels of the Catalan entity.

So far, the highest figures in the termination clause had been players like Antoine Griezmann, currently on loan at Atlético de Madrid, who had an option to exit the Catalan team amounting to 800 million.

He also became the footballer with the highest LaLiga exit document, beating David Alaba (Real Madrid) with 850 million euros. Precisely, in this section, the whites wanted to heal themselves with the 750 million Brahim and Modric or the 700 that Asensio, Vinícuis, Isco and Courtois have.

Pedri has become in recent seasons one of Barcelona’s most decisive footballers. Last season he was the culé that played the most games: he participated in 52 of all competitions, followed by Frankie de Jong and ‘Griezz’.
