Olympic Games 2024 in Paris: where and at what time to see the fire in Indre and Chateauroux, route May 27

After a day in Vienna and a celebration at the Futuroscope on Saturday, this Monday, May 27th, the flame will resume its advance in Indre to light the cauldron in Chateauroux. In this section, 85 people were invited to participate in the relay.

Finally this Chateauroux (17:55-19:20) as the flame will complete its 17th stage. The relay will begin near the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Déol (located on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela) and continue with a tour of the city center.

Shooting in the spotlight… and a lit cauldron on the sports ground

The cities of Châteauroux and Déol are home to the National Shooting Center, which will host Olympic and Paralympic competitions in this discipline next summer. FFTir licensees will provide a collective relay on Republic Square.

After which the flames will cross the Notre Dame Church, famous for its bell tower more than 50 meters high.

Finally it’s in departmental sports plain, a 7.5-hectare multidisciplinary complex where course completion celebrations will take place, including the arrival of the final torchbearer and the lighting of the cauldron (7:20 p.m.). However, the celebration area, which is free and open to everyone, will be waiting for you from 15:30. The hotel hosts a variety of events and shows that will allow you to enjoy your time while waiting for the flames.
