The Peruvian sailboat Maria Belen Bazo will finally participate in the Olympic Games Paris 2024after Switzerland decided not to send its representative already qualified.
For this reason, the outstanding national athlete takes her place, after being the first on the waiting list.
Through his Instagram account, Bazo shared his excitement because he will finally compete in the Olympics.
“I wasn’t going to go to the Games and I was very disappointed about that, but, with the support of everyone who loves me, little by little I was regaining my self-confidence. With or without my goal achieved, I was willing to move forward and continue fighting for my dreams,” Bazo wrote.
“In life, things don’t always go the way we want, but life goes on, and for me the most important thing is to stay positive and move forward,” he added.
