Ben Brereton took advantage of the assistance of Jean Meneses and made a shot that became a goal for the third goal of Chile vs. Venezuela for the South American Qualifiers towards Qatar 2022.
With a double by Erick Pulgar and another goal by Ben Brereton, Chile beat Venezuela 3-0 on Thursday and climbed to sixth place thanks to two consecutive wins that revive it in the South American qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
La Roja, led by Martín Lasarte, wanted to rebuild their path and in the 18th minute they managed to impose their superiority over Vinotinto when a header from the center of Pulgar’s area beat Venezuelan goalkeeper Wilker Fariñez.
In the 37th minute, Pulgar made his double with a point-blank header.
To complete the win, Brereton scored the third goal in the 73rd minute and ended Vinotinto’s illusion of scoring again after last Sunday’s victory against Ecuador.
La Roja is now sixth with 13 points and Venezuela is bottom with 7. On November 11, on the thirteenth date, Venezuela will visit Ecuador and Chile will go to Asunción to face Paraguay.
