Olympic Games 2024: made in France, chic, bright… How Daphne Burki imagined the costumes for the ceremony

Under the tarpaulin covering the stands, we can partially see the colors of the costumes that participants in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris will wear on July 26. The seamstresses are busy, and Katie is sewing the last hats for what promises to be a huge live show in the heart of the city. A little further on, Audrey imagines wigs and makeup, a ceremony that promises, among other things, a journey through French history.

The arrangement of the costumes was entrusted to 44-year-old Daphne Bürki. Known to the general public as a presenter on television from Canal + to France 5, she is also a stylist (in particular, she has worked with John Galliano). On the evening of July 26, she, along with Laurent Delausse and Alexandre Boyon, will comment on the ceremony live on France 2.
