Skimming begins in the French national basketball team. A month before the Paris Games (26 July – 11 August) and although friendly matches have not yet started, Vincent Collet decided to exclude Killian Hayes (22 years old) and Ousmane Dieng (21 years old) from the French group and reduce his prelist by two names, as announced the French team on X.
Called up to France’s first 19-name squad list, Hayes and Dieng had no option for the France squad and won’t have one anytime soon. The first, who was cut by the Detroit Pistons in early February, is now without a club and will not have the opportunity to attract the desire of another NBA franchise to the Games.
Six friendlies before the Games
Therefore, Ousmane Dieng, who plays for Oklahoma City, must stop preparing. That leaves the Blues’ list for the Games at more than 17 names and Vincent Collet will still have to part with five players to send 12 more to Paris this summer.
ℹ️ On Thursday evening the Blues travel to Rouen.

Before that, the Blues will play friendly matches against Turkey, two-time world champions Germany, Serbia, Canada and Australia. At the Olympics, Victor Vembanyama and his teammates will compete in the Germany and Japan group, and the winner of the Riga TQO will be announced on July 7.
