Journalist who was fired for insane comment on Camavinga referred to the issue

The Real Madrid transfer market closed with some surprising movements, such as the arrival of Eduardo Camavinga. The new hiring of the ‘Merengues’ was presented in the first days of September, under great expectation of the press. The journalist Lorena González also covered the information at that time, but was the protagonist of an outburst.

During the September 8, 2021 edition of TVE’s Estudio Estadio program in Spain, the host expressed the phrase: “Uncle, it’s blacker than the suit.” The words went viral in a short time through social networks and the press woman ended up being fired.

After more than a month, Lorena González spoke on the subject and revealed that she spoke with Eduardo Camavinga about what happened. “It was a mistake, for which I have apologized. It has had important consequences. I am not an example of anything, but this has caused me to be removed from TVE and now I am out of work”, He told in an interview for Radio Marca.

It was something I supposedly did on a closed mic, but I’m not going to apologize for a racist comment, because I never did.”, Affirmed the journalist, who later on how her words were given.

I gave an absurd phrase, which journalistically does not contribute anything, that’s why I thought I was at a closed microphone. It was nothing derogatory or pejorative. I do not look down on the player, nor do I compare his skin color or anything ugly. A phase with that sense would not come out of my mouth, neither open nor closed microphone”He added.

Finally, he explained that he spoke with Eduardo Camavinga and there were no hard feelings. “We spoke personally for a long time and at no time was he offended. Only some want to be more potato chips than the Pope. I have been in this profession for 11 years and I have always tried to exercise with respect. It was a skid, but not to end anyone’s career”, Lorena González sentenced.
