Fede Valverde ended up injured after Real Madrid’s victory at the Camp Nou

Real Madrid won the first Spanish Classic of the season, however, the concern focused on two footballers: Fede Valverde and Thibaut Courtois. After the corresponding examinations, it was confirmed that the Uruguayan midfielder was the most affected since he suffers from a knee sprain that will leave him out of the field of play for approximately ten days. On the side of the Belgian goalkeeper, it was learned that he did not suffer any serious damage and is in good condition.

The classic left the two Real Madrid players with knee discomfort but the test result confirms that Valverde is the only one injured. He was injured in a bad fall, due to a blow suffered in a jump with Gerard Piqué that unbalanced him.

The MRI to which Valverde underwent confirms that the ailment remains in a mild knee sprain and also suffers a thoracic contusion. The estimated time of withdrawal, according to sources from the club to Efe, ranges between eight and ten days depending on their daily evolution.

Happy for the team that gave everything and we took the three of us home, but sad for the blow that left me out of the fields for a few days. Hopefully it will be as soon as possible to continue adding victories and stay at the top”Valverde wrote on his social networks after knowing the results of the tests.

Better news was for Thibaut Courtois, who felt severe pain in the back of his right knee when hitting long shot but was not injured. The goalkeeper was absent from training on Monday but will rejoin the group in Tuesday’s session to prepare for the league match against Osasuna.

Winning at halftime is always good, in the end we had to be more focused. But it is a good victory, another Classic won and to continue up there it is important”Courtois celebrated in statements to Movistar after the match.
