The stage chosen for the meeting is the Mrsool Park stadium in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020 and, to honor his memory, FC Barcelona and Boca Juniors will meet, for the first time in Saudi Arabia, neutral territory, in the ‘Maradona Cup’.

As a blaugrana, the ‘Pelusa’ was linked to FC Barcelona for two seasons, 1982/83 and 1983/84, during which he played a total of 58 games and won three titles: Copa del Rey, Copa de la Liga and La Spain Supercup.
