Colo Colo must play against Audax Italiano: ANFP rejected postponement request

Last Wednesday, the president of Colo Colo, Edmundo Valladares, requested the ANFP (National Association of Professional Football) the suspension of the match against Audax Italiano, but the institution rejected this request. The boss of the ‘Cacique’ indicated that the Chilean National Championship is at a stage in which there is no margin of error and playing with youth is a disadvantage for them.

“Regarding the request made by Colo Colo to suspend the match against Audax Italiano to be played this Thursday, October 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the El Teniente de Rancagua stadium, the board of the National Professional Football Association has decided to ratify the realization of said meeting “, answered the ANFP.

Clear bases

The ANFP issued a statement explaining the reason why they rejected the request for Colo Colo and the ‘Cacique’ must play the game against Audax Italiano. “In coherence with the bases of the 2021 Planvital National Championship that were approved in the Council of Presidents held on March 2 of this year”, they announced in the published text.

Colo Colo is the absolute leader of Chilean National Championship with 55 points, ten more than his rival on duty, the Audax Italiano. However, the Catholic University is only five units away.
