Binational vs. Carlos Stein: when, where and at what time will the revalidation be played in League 1

Lima, November 1, 2021Updated on 11/01/2021 07:06 pm

The regular season of the Professional League 1 ended last Sunday, although there are still aspects to be defined. Not only will the national title be disputed in the next few days (Alianza Lima vs. Sporting Cristal), but also one of the quotas in the first division: Deportivo Binacional will put its permanence on the line against Carlos Stein, who is seeking promotion from League 2.

Recall that the ‘Powerful of the South’ will play the so-called revalidation by remaining in position 16 of the accumulated table. Meanwhile, the ‘Carlistas’ obtained the right to dream of promotion after reaching the playoffs in the second division and prevailing in the reduced final.

Finally, the Peruvian Football Federation announced the programming of the round trip matches, which will be on neutral ground. The matches will take place on Thursday 4 and Sunday 7 November, both from 3:00 pm at the Estadio Monumental de Ate (broadcast by Gol Perú).

How does Binacional arrive?

Deportivo Binacional will reach this repechage dragging four consecutive presentations without knowing how to win. The tie with César Vallejo on the final date served to save them, although there is great concern for the technical command, led by Carlos Desio, due to the collective malfunction.

However, they have figures of experience who can make a difference, such as the Ecuadorian Marlon de Jesús or the Colombian Johan Arango. This pair has been effective in the most transcendent duels they had in the season.

How does Carlos Stein arrive?

The main problem for Carlos Stein will be the lack of continuity, given that the last time they played was on October 15, when they beat Chavelines in search of a pass to revalidation. Apart from this, those led by Jahir Butrón will try to close this eventful year in the best way: they started playing League 1, but went to the second division due to the case of Alianza Lima in the TAS.
