From next Monday, the Stade Niçois opens 10% of its capital to the general public. “A first for a rugby club,” says the club’s communication. Business owner or individual, everyone can participate in crowdfunding from 500 euros, “without deposit limit”. Depending on the amount deposited, welcome gifts or five-year subscriptions are provided for “these shareholders”.

This financing operation is launched with the aim of “meeting the objectives of competitiveness, training and recruitment for this new era. [une montée de trois divisions en cinq ans]. Stade Niçois is now aiming to raise 500,000 euros by the start of the year. An amount that would allow new investments to develop and give new impetus to the ambitious actions already implemented by the club, ”said Stade Niçois. The follow-up of young people, the development of the medical team or the pursuit of solidarity operations on the territory are among the major axes of the investment of these funds.

The Stade Niçois brings together more than 600 licensees, 25 women’s and men’s teams. Currently in the French National Championship (3rd division), the ambition “from the end of the season” is to “go up to Pro D2”.
